Leave A Message At The Tone (LAMATT) is a piece about space within relationships. As the participant navigates through the circular drapes, they are cloaked in the narrative and emotions of a long-distance relationship through an auditory storyline with lighting support. Participants can move through the installation at their own pace and in any order they choose.
Artwork Talking Points:
The truss is 20’ in diameter and suspended from the ceiling with the bottom of the truss 12’ above the ground.
The curtains are made from layers of sheer voile fabric hung on a metal circle in diameters ranging from 2’ to 10’.
Off the truss, each cylindrical space would have a moving-head light and acouspade speaker mounted above it.
LAMATT is a month-long project from conceptualization to completion.
LAMATT strives to cultivate the space for conversations about how we tend to support relationships that exist in a new age format.
It was inspired by our own experiences navigating space in our personal relationships, and the circles are meant to amplify the viewer's awareness of the spaces they inhabit.

Anna "experienced" our piece for the first time while developing the artwork's LED system

What I personally contributed:
Actively contributed to ideation and creative process and facilitated a safe and constructive environment for others to do so as well.
Produced tech needs documentation and sourced all technical requirements relating to the LEDs and buttons for the prototype.
Provided a formal budget in google sheets for a hypothetical full-scale installation with all necessary technical, material, and labor needs within a predetermined spending limit.
All Neopixel programming, including several iterations utilizing both microSD card and midi control playback protocols and soldered the wires together
Wire diagram for prototype documentation as well as Key Activities, Operations, and Installation Guide Documentation for the hypothetical full-size piece
